Property Description
The Villa is among the hills of the Siena countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves: one of the guarded treasures of this land rich in art, culture and breathtaking scenery.
The Villa was built at the beginning of the twentieth-century by the Bonelli family using pietra serena entirely worked by hand, extracted from the quarry on which it rests; it is still the residence of family descendents, Francesco e Chiara, and mom Rosanna, who will let you in their home as it does with most guests expected; sharing their daily lives, preparing and offering breakfast and suggesting itineraries and excursions in the splendid settings of Siena.
The B&B Flamini is the mirror of a life lived with passion and the intensity of a eclectic family : the refinement and originality of the interior are perfectly wedded between them, with the warm materials of wood, with wrought iron and with precious wall decorations, creating an atmosphere of charm and memories.
The original swimming pool overlooks the Tuscan hills offering guests a great landscape and feelings of spirituality and energy, especially during the enviable, warm colours of sunset or surrounded by the cloak studded with stars of the night.
Even breakfast takes on a particular charm, in the splendid breakfast room, and the guests can exchange information and destinations to discovery in the lands of Siena. The family provides an opportunity to socialize and share one's travel experiences, around a campfire or sitting comfortably listening to nature. During the summer season guests have free access to an outdoor barbecue, in front of the pool, and a supply of cutlery, forks and dishes for lunch or dinner, protected in the cool shade of the pine grove surrounding the villa.
We would also like to point out the room of “Miramondo” or the refined lounge with a large fireplace and its frescoed ceilings. One must view the parlor accompanied by the proprietor as he narrates the passionate history of Siena's Palio. Our facility also offers guests, immersed in the pine trees park, a series of fitness equipment to stay in shape, an bocce field and mini tennis, a ping pong tables and more. You can organize walks in the woods, or through the vineyards and the many olive trees surrounding the house, discovering the countryside with its perfume, under the watchful eye of our mascot, the little mule Jimmy.
Respect for nature and the commitment convinced to combat air pollution, led the managers of the Villa to install photovoltaic panels and solar thermal. An investment wanted, above all, to help the environment and save the wonderful territorial heritage who surrounds this house and its history.
