Medieval castle with private chapel situated at Partina/Bibbiena, 500m above sea level on a hill covered with chestnut and cedar trees. Ever since its origin in the 11th century it has always belonged to the Count of Romena, to the Florentine Republic and to the bishop of Arezzo. From its towers, battlements and mullioned windows it dominates the Casentino which occupies the whole of the high valley of the river Arno. In the highest part of the castle, above the towers, is a "liberty" greenhouse and a hanging garden, shaded by a centuries-old Lebanese cedar tree. All floors have direct access to the outside. On request it is possible to book the higher part of the castle together with the apartment on the ground floor (I5281/800x). Own separate entrance. 10 hours of cleaning included per week and, on request,a local cook can be arranged. Swimming pool. Dishwasher, washing machine very old, luxurious castle "Castello Santa Rita", built in 1000, renovated 60 km from the centre of Firenze, 50 km from the centre of Arezzo.
